Windows 10 cannot login as administrator free download

I woke up this morning and found that I no longer have administrator privileges on my Windows 10 computer. I don’t know when or how that happened because I seldom do administrator-level stuff. If I want to install something, Windows gives me a User Account Control popup that tells me “To continue, enter an admin user name and password.

The big problem is that the popup only gives me a selection button that says “No”, with no means to enter an admin user name and password.

My Microsoft account name and info is my administrator account and I’ve never had any other user accounts on my system. I have my Windows startup login set so it doesn’t ask for a password. I’ve been searching around, but I can’t find a way to fix this. Does anybody have any good ideas? I can’t be the only person with this problem. Was this reply helpful?

Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately, that didn’t work. Thank you for all the help. Kapil Arya’s post ended up helping the most. I was able to get some administrator function back. However, either because of whatever it was that caused me to lose administrator privileges in the first place or because of my previous flailing about trying to fix the system myself, my accounts on my system were still kind of goofy. I ended up backing up everything I needed and I reinstalled Windows Everything’s running great again.

Thank you again for all the suggestions and help, I really appreciate your efforts! Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. Search the community and support articles Windows Windows 10 Search Community member.

Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before you decide to download and install it. Unfortunately, this is also a no-go. The problem is that you need to be an administrator to use the Media Creation Tool and for some reason Windows 10 does not recognize my administrator account as an administrator account. You are going to start with the USB and you are going to do a new installation of Windows, that is to say you are going to erase the whole operating system, of course all this after you have done a backup of your files Check this link, I hope it helps.
