This book is a great learning and reference tool. Highly recommend to anyone learning Revit. Written by an expert steeped in Autocad, this book works for me though I have no past experience with ACAD and am not burdened by unlearning.

I set myself the task of learning Revit with no previous experience. This book is my only guide. Wing’s book has been stepping me through methodically. There are downloadable models that coincide with each chapter. These are useful as they allow me the freedom to build up the model from each chapter’s start, grasping the fundamentals, but then leave that model with it’s ragged bits and pick up a clean and correct version for the subsequent chapter.

I say quirky only in the sense that Mr. Wing writes, not as an apologist for Autodesk, but with the awareness of the past challenges and criticisms of the Autocad community as they have tackled Revit.

Kind of refreshing. Makes the book friendlier and more conversational. I use this book as an introductory and intermediate guide to Autodesk Revit. It complies very well with my needs. I’ve have learned a lot of very useful topics. Great book, it was an excellent purchase. One person found this helpful. I think this manual is totally usefull, Have examples, exercises and have good explanations of each funtion on the revit program. Teaching myself and this book was great help.
