Or, you may check the section for individual programs and applications, to disable notifications for those listed there. I went to hidden icons off the taskbar, double clicked the program from which the notification originated, and the taskbar hides again. There needs to be some indication there like there is on the main Taskbar when they are requesting to be looked at.
