I have installed Autodesk maya on my personal computer with the student license. I recently purchased another laptop and I am trying to instal Maya onto that too. I instaled Maya on my laptop a couple of months ago and also used it a couple of times. I reopened the software yesterday on my laptop and Maya failed to open and kept crashing.

Would appreicate any help in fixing this. I am also attaching the logfile info for the failed instalation of Maya as well a snapshot of the error. I also got another error during the instalation process and I am not sure what it means. The instalation continued to progress even after encountering this error. Attached a snapshot of that too. This error can indicates that the PIT Config file used to register the product with the PIT file at install time cannot be found or cannot be opened.

Or it is possible that the machine has an existing bad pit file that did not get removed while uninstalling. So, I installed a fresh package of Maya on my laptop. When I open Maya after installation, I get the autodesk Lincesing window and it remains in this window forever. So, i am not sure whats going wrong at this stage. I removed Maya earlier from my laptop because it was doing the same thing.

Looks like the same problem exists for as well. Hey guys i’m trying to install MAYA and i had it before, on my new laptop it is giving me installation issues. I tried most of the things on the forum except overriding the install with code because i dont know how to do that.
