I don’t understand why they are keeping some of the worst professors on earth in this school. Counsellors are terrible and do profsesor give justice and support to international student. Even if you are getting A you still feels uncapable in the area of Computer science. No efforts from teachers to improve professsor understanding of course material. Columbia rate my professor like the school for its inclusivity. Even for a small college, it is very nice tbh. So thanks to CC,I am now columbia rate my professor struggling with catching up with material that was supposed to be covered in my first year csci courses. So for the benefit of future comp sci majors, I urge Ana Culibrk, Dean of Computer Science in CC to do something about the horrendously outdated computer science program.

It definitely does not prepare you for uni. You will find yourself handicapped and extremely unprepared compared to all your classmates. Being a computer science major. I feel the computer science faculty needs alot of improvement. Facilities, including the libraries and gym, are always over crowded. Also not safe in the area, a student was murdered last week less than two blocks from campus and I am constantly receiving notification of robberies.

I loved coming to Columbia for my Master’s degree. Great reputation and jobs are more readily available to me because of this. I loved all of my professors and classmates! The grounds are nice, but there are always trucks, safety patrol cars on campus grounds right on the student walkway. It makes the place ugly and it belongs more to construction workers and staff who can’t find parking.

Since August it has been non-stop parking. Even on the weekends. You have to have a meal plan to buy food which is inequitable. I just joined their MBA program.

Very friendly and organized, especially for someone like me flying in and out every other week for classes. Students, faculty, and staff are left-leaning and the pressure is intense to follow their political agenda. Moderates and conservatives are unwelcome on this campus. Naysayers will be called out and shamed. Look for like-minded peers. Avoid Morningside Park because it’s not safe. Columbia is a prestigious, well-placed school.

It’s definitely expensive, so that’s something to think about. Expect a lot of work, but you’ll eventually get used to it and the opportunities are amazing if you’re comfortable with reaching out. Some of my favorite researchers and scientists in high school are now my professors. Columbia is a well known ivy, but to be honest its too big for a undergrad.

I felt lost so often and I did not have intimate relationships with my professors. I transferred to a liberal arts college and have never been happier. Columbia might be well known because its so big, but smaller schools have better education and happier students. This is a terrible institution with terrible leaders. Students are treated miserably. Need some leadership renovation. Hate attending this school and so do a decent amount of students here but none have the guts to transfer because of the name it carries.

I should have went to a CUNY school :. Some pros and cons, work is stressful but also definitely a work hard party hard culture around a lot of the campus.
