Kimball opened its season with a win over Faith Family, and lost by just two points against both nationally-ranked Duncanville and nationally-ranked North Little Rock Ark. It had five players average double digit points per game in the regular season, led by four-star Texas Tech pledge Drew Steffe Shelby In a challenging District A with Mansfield Timberview and Mansfield Legacy, Mansfield Summit finished in conference play and clinched the top playoff seed.
