Moët & Chandon is the largest champagne house in the world. Its beginning was in 1743, when it was founded by the winemaker Claude Moët. But it was his grandson, Jean-Rémy Moët, who presented the beverage to the world for the first time, and turned it into a commercial success. Among the rest, Rémy Moët presented the family’s champagne to the most important figures of that period, such as Marquise de Pompadour and even Napoleon himself.
